- This is the first article I’ve read about this that points out that it is not actually a new tax. Most, if not all, states with sales tax require consumers to pay taxes on out-of-state purchases.

- Harish - The right to bear arms is not granted by the second amendment. Until there is a law against it, everything is legal. The second amendment didn’t make gun ownership legal, it just ensures that it stays that way.

- You might recall that last March (2012) was much warmer than this March (2013), and the police are trying to take credit for the dip in murders while even admitting that warmer weather can cause a rise in crime rate.

- Laws don't stop crime. They merely define what is a crime. What we want to stop is murders, which are already illegal. What would you suggest the penalty should be for someone owning a gun, but not using it?

- Even if they offered a beef version, they wouldn't maintain a separate griddle for it, making the beef non-kosher once cooked, anyway. Frankly if one is concerned with keeping kosher, there are almost no places to eat.

- Probably not an illegal, since they traced his ID to ownership of the vehicle. He may have had a warrant, or may have been drunk/otherwise breaking the law, but each of these are very presumptuous.
